The Importance of Inclusive Excellence in Higher Education

In today’s diverse and globalized world, institutions of higher education are expected to foster an inclusive environment that values and respects the differences among students, faculty, and staff. This is where Nadia Singh comes in, as the associate dean of inclusive excellence and faculty affairs in OSU’S College of Agricultural Sciences.

Singh is the 159th fellow OSU has had since AAAS began honoring researchers in 1874. Prior to starting at OSU in December 2024, she ran the Singh Lab at the University of Oregon.

She is also a member of the Oregon State University chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers.
