21st Annual Kevin Cole South Fulton County High Schools Juried Art Competition

Kevin Cole founded the competition in 2004 to provide an opportunity for high school students in South Fulton to develop their artistic talents. The competition showcases a diverse range of artworks created by talented high school students. The artwork ranges from paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, and digital art. Some of the talented artists who participated in this year’s competition include:

  • Emily Chen from Booker T. Washington High School
  • Jason Reed from Langston Hughes High School
  • Yolanda Jackson from South Atlanta High School

The awards for the competition include:

First Place School Award $2,000
Second Place Second Place Award $1,500
Third Place Third Place Award $1,000
Best in Show Leonora Davis Award or Scholarship $5,000

For the 2025 competition, the following schools are participating:

  5. Creekside High School
  6. Coretta Scott King Young Women’s Leadership Academy

  10. Tri-Cities High School
  11. Westlake High School

This competition provides students with an opportunity to develop their artistic skills, gain confidence, and showcase their work to a wider audience. Awards will be presented by:

Kevin Cole received his B.S. from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, M.A. in art education from the University of Illinois at Urbana, and an M.F.A. from Northern Illinois University. β€œArt is my way of sharing my story and my world with the world.” – Kevin Cole

The Society Incorporated, Supporting the Arts Greater Atlanta Chapter is a national organization dedicated to service to youth in the arts and friendship. The Society Incorporated, Supporting the Arts, was founded in May 1983. The organization’s mission is to create outstanding, award-winning programs, support various art institutions, and provide scholarship awards and support to students throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area.
